After a lot of times, Google has Finally Announced the Nearby Share for Windows Users. now you can share files between Android and Windows using Nearby Share. but this time it's currently in beta and currently available in some countries, check out the unsupported countries list
let's know how you can use it on your PC

Things to Know before using it?

1. if want to use nearby share on your PC, then your PC must have Bluetooth and Wifi Support.

2. To use it, your PC must be running 64-bit Windows 10/11 and your phone must be running Android 6.0

3. Both devices should be connected to a Wifi Network for better transfer speed.

4.  Both devices must be within 5 meters or 16 feet

How to use Nearby Share on Windows


Step 1:- visit this link, and click on Get Started, to download the Nearby share on your PC




Step 2:- Open the Setup file to install it.






Step 3:- once Nearby Share is installed. it will ask you to Sign in with your Google account. However, you can also use it without Google Account. 


Step 4:- Now Click on the Sign-in options, after clicking on the Sign-in options it will be redirected to a browser window.  now you have to choose 
the Sign-in Account and then click on the Sign in 


Step 5:- After doing this process you have successfully logged in. now switch back to the Nearby Share App. now Click on the Done Option.


How to Share Files from Android to Windows Using Nearby Share

Step 1:- Open File and click on the share button then choose Nearby Share to share the Files.




Step 2:- now here your PC will show you. Click on it.





Step 3:- Open the Nearby share app on your PC and Accept the request.




After accepting it. The file will begin to transfer to the Windows PC once the File will be transferred to your Windows.

 
Step 4:- it will save the File in the Download folder. if want to change the default location, tap on the Setting option > Click on the Change button. now you set the Default Location.




How to Share Files from Windows to Android Using Nearby Share

Step 1:- Right-click on the file and Now Click on Send with Nearby Share.


Step 2:- it will Open the Nearby Share, tap on your Phone.



Step 3:- Now A pop-up will show on your android phone, here click on Accept. now The file will begin to transfer to your Android phone.
